Founded in 1999, the Tahquamenon Country Sled Dog Race is an annual event held at Headquarters Lake State Forest Campground the weekend of the first full week in January, making it one of the first races in the Midwest each year. With both pro and sport classes, this event draws participants from all over the US and Canada.
