Calling for Volunteers!!!   Plan Now!

Planning is already underway for the 2008 Tahquamenon Country Sled Dog Race in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula.  The board has been meeting and planning for what is hoped to be another great race this coming winter.  One critical part of the race is the volunteer effort.  Without you, the volunteers, it is almost impossible to put on a quality race.

The race is scheduled again for the first weekend in January – Saturday, January 5th 2008 is the date.  The weekend schedule will remain pretty well intact, from Friday setup and pre-race banquet to Saturday race activities, Saturday evening volunteer party and Sunday brunch awards.

We need your help!!!!

Volunteers are needed for setup on Friday, the pre-race banquet and for race activities all day during the races.   Worked at a spot before?  Come on back up!  Like to try something different?  We can accommodate that.  Bring your friends up, too!   NEW??? No problem – newcomers are always welcome!!!

Thank to everyone who has participated in the past!  We certainly hope that you can join us again this coming year.  If you have any questions, feel free to contact me by phone, email, or regular mail.   I look forward to hearing from you!

Please contact me if you have any questions or are interested so we can start planning for various positions.!   And again, on behalf of the committee and the mushers, THANK YOU!!!!!
